Laser Treatment is the Perfect Way to Achieve Excellent Vision
If you have had long-term vision problems, you probably know two of the most common ways to temporarily fix them - eyeglasses and contact lenses. But over time, you may realize how annoying eyeglasses can be when they fog up in the winter, or when they break. And how you might not want to wake up every morning not being able to see clearly until you put your glasses or contacts on.
A great solution to this problem is laser vision correction with an excimer laser. Dr. William Boothe has over 20 years of experience using an excimer laser to perform laser eye surgery for patients who were tired of wearing contact lenses and eyeglasses.
This technique is used today in more than 500 laser vision correction centers around the world, providing laser eye correction procedures to more than 4 million people who suffer from vision impairments. These patients are now free from their eyeglasses and contact lenses and could not be happier.
Boothe Eye Care & Laser Center is one of the first ophthalmology centers in the USA that was equipped with the latest laser equipment and has a staff of highly qualified personnel. Excimer laser can correct nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism of any degree. The Boothe Eye Care Center also has a set of equipment for the treatment of open angle glaucoma and all types of cataracts. Dr. Boothe and his consultants will assist you in the diagnosis and treatment of your vision.
Laser vision correction is a frequently used term for Lasik laser surgical procedures and other techniques in which a device called an excimer laser is used to correct vision problems, also known as refractive errors - nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism.
By using a computer-controlled excimer laser, Dr. Boothe can change the shape of your cornea so your eyesight will adjust as necessary and you no longer need to constantly wear eyeglasses or contact lenses. In addition, the results of correction vision surgery will be permanent. Your vision after laser correction procedure will not deteriorate through a week or a month. This does not mean that your vision will not change with time. Some people may become nearsighted over time, and some farsighted.
Laser correction cannot correct the natural physiological changes associated with aging. If you are predisposed to become more nearsighted or farsightedness, it will eventually happen even after the laser eye correction procedure. If your eyesight is not stable, before the correction you will need to undergo additional treatment, which will be discussed with Dr. Boothe. Customized treatments are also available for presbyopia, which is a common problem where the arms are too short to hold a book or magazine at a comfortable distance for reading. Regardless of your age or vision impairment, Dr. Boothe will offer you a customized treatment.
